What We Learned in Our First Year of the Beauty Lab Podcast: 2025 Recap + Guest Highlights

When we started the Beauty Lab Podcast, we didn’t set out to chase numbers or trends. We just wanted honest conversations about beauty, wellness, and real life — the kind you’d have with friends who actually know their stuff.

Now, as we wrap up our very first year, we’re taking a moment to pause, reflect, and say thank you. This episode is a full 2025 recap, filled with lessons, laughs, and a whole lot of gratitude.

Starting a Podcast Without Knowing the Rules

Let’s be real — neither of us started this podcast as “professional podcasters.” We learned everything as we went. Recording. Editing. Publishing. Promoting. Repeating. Every single week.

Somehow, along the way, people started showing up. Not just listening, but commenting, asking questions, and coming back week after week. That’s when it stopped feeling like a project and started feeling like a community.

Conversations That Changed How We Think About Wellness

One of the best parts of this year was learning right alongside our listeners. Every guest brought a new perspective that shifted how we think about health, beauty, and self-care.

Redefining Self-Care (For Real Life)

Our early episodes reminded us that self-care isn’t a checklist. What feels basic to one person can feel overwhelming to another — and understanding that makes us more compassionate humans.

Style, Confidence + Dressing for Yourself

Talking about personal style wasn’t about trends — it was about permission. Permission to skip what doesn’t work for your body and lean into what makes you feel confident and comfortable.

Gut Health, Fermentation + Beauty From the Inside Out

We connected the dots between gut health and visible results like skin, hair, and energy. And yes — we finally learned why fermented foods smell intense but don’t taste the way you expect.

Collagen, Skincare + Surprising Beauty Tech

From collagen quality to modern spray tanning, we learned how much innovation is happening behind the scenes in the beauty industry — especially when it comes to skin-loving ingredients.

Women’s Health Deserves the Spotlight

Some of our most impactful episodes focused on topics that aren’t talked about nearly enough.

Pelvic Floor Health Isn’t Niche — It’s Essential

We learned how pelvic floor health connects to so many everyday issues women experience, often without realizing the root cause.

Prenatal, Postnatal + Midlife Support Matters

From pregnancy through menopause, we explored how nutrition, mental health, and holistic care are deeply connected — and why women deserve better education at every stage.

Detox vs Reset: Why Language Matters

One of our final episodes reframed detoxing completely. Instead of extremes, we talked about sustainable resets, long-term balance, and supporting the body instead of punishing it.

The People Who Made This Podcast Happen

This podcast wouldn’t exist without the people behind it.

Our guests showed up generously, sharing expertise, time, and resources — many of them recording their very first podcast episode ever. And our listeners? You asked thoughtful questions, shared episodes, and helped shape what came next.

And of course, none of this runs without Jen, our behind-the-scenes powerhouse. From editing to scheduling to keeping us consistent, she’s the reason episodes land every week like clockwork.

The Stats That Still Surprise Us

Here’s something we’re incredibly proud of:

We published 58 weekly episodes in a row.

That level of consistency puts us in a tiny percentage of podcasts that keep going past the early stages. Most shows stop after just a few episodes — and the only reason we didn’t is because this felt worth showing up for.

Closing Out 2025 With Gratitude

This first year taught us that you don’t need to have everything figured out to start. You just need curiosity, consistency, and people who care.

If you listened to one episode or all fifty-eight, thank you for being part of this journey. We can’t wait to keep learning, laughing, and experimenting with beauty right alongside you.
