Global Beauty Trends: Easy Ways to Try K-Beauty and Latin Glam

k-beauty glass skin look

Have you seen beauty trends from Korea or Latin America and wondered how you can try them yourself? Today on The Beauty Lab Podcast. hosts Velia and Monina share easy ways to bring global beauty trends into your own beauty routine.

What is K-Beauty?

K-Beauty (Korean Beauty) is about getting natural, clear skin that looks like glass. It’s soft, fresh, and simple. Instead of heavy makeup, K-Beauty uses soft, diffused makeup to give your skin a healthy glow.

Popular K-Beauty items include:

K-Beauty got big through social media and the popularity of K-pop bands and K-dramas. It makes skin look young and clear, without looking like you're wearing much makeup at all.

What is Latin Glam?

Latin Glam is a bold, confident beauty style inspired by Latin American culture. It features bronze, glowing skin, sharp contouring, bold eyes, and bright lip colors like reds and berries.

Stars like JLo, Becky G, and Sofia Vergara made this look famous, showing off confidence and individuality. Latin Glam is powerful and feminine, perfect if you want to feel strong and beautiful.

How to Try These Trends Yourself

Velia and Monina suggest these easy ways to try global beauty trends:

Choose Your Favorite Look

  • Do you like the simple, youthful K-Beauty look?
  • Or do you want a bold, confident Latin glam look?

Think About Your Skin

  • If your skin has texture (big pores or scars), use soft matte products for a gentle glow.

Balance Your Makeup

  • Pick bold eyes or bold lips—but maybe not both at once.

Try Contouring

  • Use Latin Glam contouring to highlight your face shape and features.

Take It Slow

  • Try just one new thing at a time, like shimmer eyeshadow or a bold lip color.

The idea is to find what feels good for you. Experiment and have fun!
